Is the CLI really free forever? Yes. The core scanning engine - health, chaos, compliance, and gates - is Apache 2.0 licensed and will never move behind a paywall. Paid tiers only add Cloud convenience features on top.
What is kubeqa Cloud? A hosted layer that adds multi-cluster dashboards, historical trends, team collaboration, SSO, audit logs, and compliance PDF exports. It is coming soon; the CLI is available now.
Do I need a paid plan to run compliance audits? No. All compliance frameworks, including NESA and NCA, run in the free CLI. The paid tiers add team dashboards and PDF evidence exports, not the audits themselves.
Do paid tiers require cluster-side agents? No. kubeqa always talks to the Kubernetes API read-only. Cloud tiers add a dashboard and storage layer, not in-cluster components.
